Sealcoating Frequently Asked Questions
We receive a number of questions weekly about asphalt, paving and sealcoating. Take a look at the sealcoating frequently asked questions we hear most often.
What is Sealcoating?
Sealcoating protects your asphalt driveway from deterioration. Asphalt driveways break down overtime from natural elements like sunshine and rain as well as harsh chemicals from leaking cars and trucks. Sealcoating and crack filling are often misunderstood processes in the paving industry. We often find customers think their driveway will be smooth and level with no visible cracks after sealcoating. This is a great description of resurfacing a driveway but not sealcoating.
How often should I sealcoat my driveway?
We recommend that you seal your driveway every 3 to 4 years. However, many of our customers seal their driveway every year to assure it lasts longer.
What materials does John Parichuk Paving LLC use to sealcoat?
We use only the best for our valued customers – a product that lasts and will cause fewer problems in the future. That is why our company uses only a commercial grade asphalt based sealer. This sealer protects your driveway and projects a quality appearance.
Can my driveway be sealed in high or low temperatures?
Application of asphalt base sealer is not recommended in low temperatures. The temperature should be a minimum of 40 degrees Fahrenheit with the temperature rising. Temperatures above 40 degrees are ideal and should be maintained for approximately 24 hours. Material is not warranted under temperatures below 40 degrees; we urge you to exercise caution and judgment with regards to sealcoating or marking pavement in the final weeks of the season. As we are unable to warrant material applied during questionable weather conditions, we are also unable to guarantee work performed when inclement weather is forecasted.
Do I get a discount when I refer someone to John Parichuk Paving LLC & Sealcoating?
Yes! If your neighbor or anyone else specifically states they have used us due to your recommendation, we offer you a rebate as soon as they have paid in full.
What forms of payment does John Parichuk Paving LLC & Sealcoating accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards! All credit card payments are charged an additional 3% processing fee.
How much will it cost me, and how does John Parichuk Paving LLC determine pricing?
The cost of sealcoating every driveway is different. We arrive at our prices by finding our two main variables: the square footage and the condition of the asphalt. We will be happy to provide you with a free estimate. Please call our office Monday through Saturday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. We respond promptly to all requests by sending out an estimator as soon as possible.
Can John Parichuk Paving LLC match a competitor’s lower quote?
It is not our policy to match a competitor’s price. We have found that the service and craftsmanship we provide is superior. Our materials and workmanship reflect the highest quality standards in the paving and sealcoating industry. Residential sealcoating requires care to be taken around flower beds, sidewalks, cement, and garage doors, where sealer does not belong.
